    HA-A50T Audio operation

    Wearing

    • Identify the L and R sides of the earphones and put them on correctly.
    • There is a semicircle raised bump on the L (left) side.
    • Hold the earphones as shown in the diagram and fit them into your ears.
    • Face the “JVC” text upward and adjust the position of the earphones to fit them into your ears.
    • Standard earpieces and memory foam earpieces are supplied.
    • The medium-size memory foam earpieces are attached when purchased.
    • To enjoy good sound quality, choose the most suitable earpieces and size and fit them into your ears.
    • Incorrect earpiece size can result in sound leakage and lack of bass.
    • Check that the earpiece is securely attached as shown in the figure.
    • If the earpiece is not securely attached, it may slipped off when in use and remain in your ear. If the earpiece remains in your ear, be careful not to push it further into your ear.
    • Compress the memory foam earpiece with your fingers and insert the earphone into your ear. When compressing the memory foam earpiece, take care not to damage the surface.
    • Avoid exposing the earpiece to direct sunlight or store it in hot and humid places as this will cause discoloration and deterioration of the earpiece. If the earpiece is not used for a long time, check the status of the earpiece before using.
    • Replace the earpiece if it has lost its elasticity, or has become dirty, damaged or deformed.
    • When replacing the earpiece, take care not to damage it.

    Operating the remote control

    • Launch the music player app on the BLUETOOTH device connected, to start playback.
    • Play/Pause (HA-A50T Play icon) - Tap the touch sensor area on the L earphone once quickly.
    • Listening to ambient sound (Touch & Talk function) / Using the noise canceling function / Turning off functions - Tap the touch sensor area on the R earphone once quickly. When the ambient sound function is used, the volume of the music playback will decrease and ambient sounds can be heard more easily with the built-in microphone. Using the noise canceling function mainly helps to reduce ambient noises such as noise in a vehicle and noise from air conditioners in a room. The audio guidance can be heard when the function is toggled.
    • Volume adjustment (HA-A50T Volume Down Icon / HA-A50T Volume Up Icon) - To raise the volume, tap the touch sensor area on the R earphone twice quickly. To lower the volume, tap the touch sensor area on the L earphone twice quickly.
    • Skip to the next track (HA-A50T Skip to the next icon) - Touch the touch sensor area on the R earphone for about 1 second during playback and release your finger once you hear a beep.
    • Skip to the previous track or beginning of the current track (HA-A50T Skip to the previous track icon) - Touch the touch sensor area on the L earphone for about 1 second during playback and release your finger once you hear a beep.
    • The music will return to the original volume when a user quits the ambient sound function. If you have raised the volume while listening to surrounding sounds, take note that the volume will increase when you return to music playback.
    • The ambient sound function draws surrounding sounds from the built-in microphone. Touching the microphone hole allows you to hear surrounding sounds. Take note not to touch or cover the microphone hole accidentally when operating the earphone.
    • The ambient sound function and the noise canceling function can only be used when the earphones are connected to a BLUETOOTH device. When the earphones are disconnected from the BLUETOOTH device, the ambient sound function and noise canceling function are automatically disabled.
    • The noise canceling function is effective for low-pitched sounds such as noise in a vehicle and noise from air conditioners in a room but less effective for relatively high-pitched sounds such as announcements, conversations and bells in vehicles.
    • When the remaining battery power becomes low, the audio guidance will be heard from the earphone.
    • When watching movies with the earphones, a slight time lag may occur in the audio output.
    • We do not guarantee all operations of the BLUETOOTH device.

    • Ending the call - Tap the touch sensor area once quickly during the call.
    • Rejecting a call - Touch the touch sensor area for about 1 second when receiving the call and release your finger once you hear a beep.
    • Switching between the earphones and the smartphone during a call - Touch the touch sensor area for about 1 second during the call and release your finger once you hear a beep.
    • Using voice assistant function (Siri etc) - Tap the touch sensor area on the L earphone 3 times quickly when not using the phone function.
    • The ambient sound function and the noise canceling function cannot be used during hands-free calling.
